Volunteer Opportunities Await - Join Us Today!

We're seeking volunteers with various skills and interests to help make the Salmonberry Trail a reality. Here’s where we need some help:

  1. Project Managers: Organize and lead tasks, from cleaning debris off trestles to preparing grants or organizing mailings. No need to be an expert in the task; it's the organization that matters most.

  2. Signage Enthusiasts: Help specify, design, and install road crossing signs, interpretive signs, hazard markers, and route-finding signs. We need a design standard team.

  3. Grant Writers: Assist in crafting persuasive grant proposals that align with grant requirements.

  4. MOU Wizards: Create Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) between agencies, organizations, and nonprofits with a basic grasp of contracts and legal principles.

  5. Emergency Planners: Prepare for incidents along the Salmonberry corridor, from minor injuries to forest fires. Coordinate with local emergency agencies and ensure first aid support for volunteer events.

  6. Maintenance Program Pioneers: Develop long-term volunteer-driven maintenance programs. Work out funding, oversight, coordination, and work priorities.

  7. Trail Educators: Share your knowledge about Salmonberry trail history, natural features, wildlife, mushrooms, and more. Also, help coordinate educational activities or transform information into web-based learning content.

  8. Landowner Relationship Builders: Connect with adjacent landowners, provide information, address concerns, and advocate for landowner-driven change.

  9. Invasive Species Fighters: Contribute to controlling invasive species along the corridor through activities like tree planting and scotch broom removal, promoting environmental sustainability.

  10. Suspension Bridge Enthusiasts: Explore the construction of backcountry suspension bridges, especially in challenging locations within the Canyon section.

  11. Trail Construction Pioneers: Determine the best construction methods, locations, hazards, and required skills to build the trail around obstacles in damaged portions of the right-of-way.

  12. Scientists/Biologists: We're looking for your expertise and insights to enhance our understanding of the ecosystem along the trail.

  13. Fundraising Enthusiasts: Join our Development Committee to help expand our financial supporters, ensuring the sustainability of our mission.
