Viewers in the Portland area were treated to an inside look at the Salmonberry Trail project by KPTV Channel 12. The story, which aired on July 18, 2017, describes the great potential and the planning associated with Oregon's most ambitious rail-trail project. It also provides an important reminder the trail doesn't exist yet and is not safe or open to public access. Here's a link to the story.
In October, the Salmonberry Trail Intergovernmental Agency adopted a new logo for the Salmonberry Trail project. The logo was selected from a number of alternatives designed by Rick Yurk of the BAM Agency in Salem. It captures the diverse landscapes the trail will pass through, from the forests and rivers of the Coast Range to the beaches and waves of the Tillamook County coastline. Look for the logo to appear on all things Salmonberry, from print materials and web content to trailhead signs and mileage markers to apparel. Where you see this graphic, think Salmonberry Trail!
