New Partner Joins Salmonberry Trail Effort

The Salmonberry Trail project recently added the Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) to its growing list of supporters and funders.  The project has received a $50,000 Community Grant from OCF.  The purpose of the grant is to help build organizational capacity in the non-profit Tillamook Forest Heritage Trust to help the Trust fulfill its role in leading the capital campaign for the project.  The grant will help fund two part-time positions recently added to the Trust’s organization, a Development Director and a Strategic Planning and Marketing Coordinator.

The following specific OCF funds contributed to this grant:

  • Ned and Sis Hayes Family Fund
  • Robert and Hedy Snow Fund
  • Doug and Katherine Story Green Family Fund
  • William Swindells, Sr. Memorial Fund

In addition to this funding in the current fiscal year, the Trust has been invited to submit an application for an additional $25,000 in organizational capacity funds from the Oregon Community Foundation in the 2017 application cycle.
